Overview

Lanthanum acetate hydrate is also called lanthanum acetate trihydrate. It can be prepared by the reaction of lanthanum carbonate and acetic acid. Lanthanum acetate is a white snowflake solid, soluble in water, very easy to deliquesce in humid air, should be placed in a closed container, can be used to prepare lanthanum chloride and lanthanum other compounds and petroleum catalysts.

preparation

the preparation method of lanthanum acetate trihydrate is as follows:
a) 1.0kg of lanthanum carbonate is dissolved in 10.0L and 1.0mol/L acetic acid solution at 60~65 ℃, and the reaction is complete under closed conditions;
B) evaporate and dry the obtained solution to constant weight at 70~75 ℃, dissolve it with 8.0L of water, filter it, take the filtrate and evaporate and dry it to constant weight at 70~80 ℃ to obtain crude lanthanum acetate;
c) after washing the crude lanthanum acetate product above, lanthanum acetate trihydrate was obtained by evaporation and drying at 60~70 ℃ for 6.0h, weighing 1.49kg.
